Before joining Google in 2010, I spent the prior decade producing, directing, editing, and shooting videos and still images for news, commercial, entertainment and advocacy media.
I was also a professor at Eugene Lang College - The New School for Liberal Arts, and Marymount Manhattan College, teaching courses in video production, new media and media theory.
I earned my Bachelor of Arts in communications from The New School University with a focus in documentary filmmaking and media theory, and my Masters Degree from New York University where I specialized in political communication, new media and the history of propaganda and marketing techniques.
My areas of expertise include public speaking, education based marketing, event planning and product and marketing management, project management, broadcast systems, digital integration, social media, video production, photography, and applied media theory.
Today I teach journalists around the world how to use Google's tools for storytelling.
